Having a green horse is a lot like riding a roller coaster. I have been incredibly lucky and Annie is an amazing baby horse but that doesn’t mean there aren’t times that I get really frustrated. (Exhibit A from the EW Clinic)This week there have been a few of those days. Then I came across pictures from our first cross country adventure and remembered how lucky I am with her.
I have posted these before but I’m posting them again because holy moley my baby horse was a rock star. It’s been almost exactly a year since her first time adventuring on a cross country course and now she conquers all the things. I have never ridden a horse this fun over fences – except maybe Henny. So I’m taking today to smell the roses and remember what a little super star I have!
I’ve had a few mediocre days on Emi recently so this was a great reminder. Your Annie is a rockstar!
She is usually amazing. But like a ginger when she isn’t she really isn’t. Hopefully Emi will be great for your next ride 🙂
She’s a beast! She might be on my list of horses I’d steal for Amanda’s blog hop …
I think you and Amanda need to come to TN and meet her. Or I need to find a TX show and come for a staycation haha
It’s not always rainbows and sunshine, but that’s one thing I LOVE about blogging — it’s easy to remember the great times when you’re having a tough time.
The great days are best appreciated in contrast to the bad ones, or even the not so great ones.
She is an awesome little red head 🙂
She really is a super nice horse. One of my favs in the blogosphere
Wow! Look how far you’ve come in just a year! You’ve done a great job with her!
