I am not even sure where to begin this post. How about starting with a reintroduction… I am a totally different person now than I was when I started this blog. Even just since my last posts and adding “mom” to my resume.
Hi, I am Hillary. If you have been reading (sporadically) for awhile you will know this – if not – welcome! I am in my late 20’s. If you have found this blog I can only assume you are also horse obsessed. Although I am not actively competing at the moment I am an amateur eventer and jumper rider.
Things have been INSANE. It is really too much for just one post. To summarize or give you the highlights… In the past 5 months I had a baby, sold a horse, moved to the Lone Star State, and went to WEG.
You read right… We moved again.
You can ask Amanda and Karen just how enthusiastic I was about this move and the changes that it would bring for my horses’ living arrangements…
Moving to Texas meant a lot of change. I no longer get to see some of my best friends multiple times a week – if not daily. The barn was also hands down the best boarding situation I have been in since my parents sold their farm. Great care, beautiful facilities, and finally regular access to a wonderful trainer. We had to do what was right for our family not just my horses though so Texas it is!
To say that I have been annoying the past few months (or maybe always?) would be an understatement. I feel relatively certain that both A and K had a few moments where they wanted to tell me to STFU. Between asking about areas to live and barns for the horses I was not lacking in the question department. 
On the bright side I already have at least a couple of great friends in our new hometown thanks to this wonderful blogging community! My parents also spend a decent amount of time in the general area so I get to see them quite a bit more too.
I have said it before and I may end up saying it again… But, I really hope that now that I have put the fires out I can start blogging regularly again. I am back in the saddle and can’t wait to start competing again.
I am looking forward to keeping up with more of your alls adventures too!

Oh wow! That’s a lot of news in 5 months!!! Can’t wait to hear more stories about life as a Texan eventing mom 🙂
